at First, she belonged to her Father
then passed to her Husband next
When she finally belonged to nature
Did she realize -
all along, She belonged to Herself
it was the First Time She felt Her heart whole,
unbroken and full
She became proud that she pushed Herself for so long,
and finally surpassed this glass ceiling that She
unconsciously created
She reached a place of self-actualization
a place She thought was made up for the
traumatized people to aspire to
She felt for once that Her heart was Hers
that Her heart was home
Home for Her,
not the people that abandoned Her.
She finally learned Her worth,
And it Set Her Free.
